After +10 years of training, I decided to get a new bogu and not compromise. Nathan from All Japan budogu was very helpful in guiding my through different bogu-sets and also in design/customization aspects.
Because of the bamboo-do I selected I had to wait a while, but it was well worth the wait. The set is stunning in every way. The men is superlight, shapes nicely and the grey outlook is very cool. The kote are flexible, but not too soft. Overall the appareance of this set is the best I've seen.
Simply an amazing bogu-set. Well worth the money and the wait.

Beautiful and functional Bogu with quality craftsmanship, and light weight! This 4mm stitch feels like it will really shape well and be very durable. Opted for a Titanium mengane with extra cost, and they kindly obliged. Terrific customer service (Thank you Sebastian) and fast shipping (It took one day to get to me in Singapore). Fantastic experience shopping on AJB, despite not being in Japan.

Absolutely stunning. I have been using the sakura bogu for about a year now and love it. I ordered Gekiha for special events and am absolutely blown away with the quality. I recently visited a few top kendo supply stores in Tokyo and can say without hesitation this gekiha is far superior and costs about 1/3 less than the other brands with similar materials. For the price, you just can't beat it. Add the best customer service in the business on top of that and you've got an easy choice. Best materials, craftsmanship, looks, fit and feel in its class and best customer service. What's not to like?
