1. Even Better Than The Pictures

   So...What I got and what the pictures depict are slightly different. First off, the picture may lead you to think that this suburi bokken is constructed in a similar fashion as a shinai, with separate slats of bamboo. You'd be wrong. As far as I can tell, it's all one piece. This goes for the one in the pictures, and the one that I got.
   Moving on, the suburi bokken I got seems to be made of a much darker wood, which I actually like. Furthermore, the inscription is actually carved into the wood.
   
   Whether or not these differences equate to a difference in weight or quality, I do not have enough experience to say for sure. What I can say is that I think it looks more distinct than what the pictures initially portray.
   
   Finally, the weight...this bokken must be the offspring of a shinai and an oversized police baton. It's hard to believe that this is only double the weight of a regular shinai. I can swing it around indoors, as advertised, and it gives me an excellent workout.
   
   It also has a wonderful-albeit distracting- smell.

2. Great Quality

   Really well made.
   Its very heavy, Fine for me but a bit too much for my wife at the moment, Although using it will certainly help her get there.
   And of course you can swing it inside, So I can finally practice at home.
   Very happy with it!
   
   - Also whatever they treated the wood with smells extremely strongly of something like salami. But the smell fades after day or two, Sadly ; )

3. This thing is heavy

   The appearance of this bokuto is striking. I must have played with it for 15 minutes after opening the box. It's great for indoor use.

5. Didn't find something bad

   The small size allows the use at home even if the roof is a bit low, good for the muscles but (didn't expect it) also helps if you tend to tense too much, because you won't hold the whole exercise.
