Our deluxe HARU KOSHIRAE features beautiful Sakura (Japanese cherry blossom) themed fittings.
The Sakura (Japanese cherry blossom) provides a distinct image of Japan, and along with the dragonfly, was thought of as an important symbol by warriors of centuries ago. A well known phrase says - "As flowers are Sakura, people are warriors", or in other words, the warrior is thought of as the cherry blossom of the human world, owing to their short, but important lives.
Perfect for all levels of Iaidoka.
Made using a lightweight Zinc/Aluminium Alloy blade, this sword is compliant with Japanese laws relating to imitation swords. Steel swords, with the exception of genuine Japanese made, registered Shinken, are not allowed to be brought to Japan for training purposes. As this sword is made using modern Zinc/Aluminium alloy, it is NOT affected by this restriction and can be brought to and from Japan freely.
Made to order - Usually ships in 3-4 weeks.

Exactly as ordered and hoped for, this iaito katana is beautiful in appearance and performance, well balanced and light in the conduct of Iaido Kata by the beginner. Creates a lovely whistle sound on the downstroke.

I just received my Haru koshirae iaito from DHL today. I am VERY happy with it. Everything is fitted together very nicely and tightly. The product description advertised "usually ships in 2-3 weeks." I received my iaito at exactly 5 weeks and 2 days. If you order an iaito from Japan, you have to understand that there are things that can delay your order. For example, weather can delay the saya lacquering process, etc. Also, I took advantage of some of the options by choosing a different tsuba and upgrading to silk ito, which may have resulted in a longer production time than usual. Let me tell you first hand, the silk ito is worth the extra 85 dollars; it looks and feels fantastic! I can't wait to bring this to class tomorrow morning.

I was a difficult customer and had some last minute changes I needed to my Iaito, after my order had already been processed. All Japan Budogu was accommodating to my needs and very quick to reply to my emails. They provided me with the changes I needed at a very fair price.
Crafting time on my iaito and shipping (to the US) were incredibly fast, especially compared to the competition (Tozando, Yamato, etc). I am incredibly happy with the finished product and would certainly order from All Japan Budogu in the future.
