Top-quality made-in-Japan Kendo Kata Sword reinforced with toughened zinc/alluminum alloy.
This beautifully crafted sword is perfect for experienced Kendo practitioners to use throughout Kata demonstrations and other formal events.
The blades of Kendo Kata swords are generally heavier and significantly more durable than regular Iaito, making this Daito suitable for Kendo Kata 1-10 Uchidachi / 1-7 Shidachi.
The blade of this Daito measures 2.4 Shaku (approx. 72cm), and weighs approximately 980g without the Saya.
Features a beautiful Roiro (gloss black) Saya.

I've owned this sword for a month now and these are my observations and opinions from having used it during that time.
The sword is beautiful, it arrived quickly (Jap to Swe in 3 days) and it feels great.
The fit in the tsuka is extremely tight and the tsuka ito is wraped tight enough that not even my nail fits in between the layers.
The only problem I have with it is with the tsuba. It looks amazing and seems to be casted out of iron but it doesn't fit tight enough around the tang and therefore rotates slightly in place.
I don't know if the white decorative skin pieces on the tsuka are genuine ray/sharkskin but I would suspect that it is at this price point.
When they say that they use an extra heavy alloy they really mean it. Going from my red oak daito boken (470g~) to this iaito (970g~) was brutal on my arms and shoulders, I have a lot of practice in front of me before I can wield and use this at the same speed as my bokken.
Overall it's an amazing display piece and practice tool, I would recommend it anyday to anyone seeking to try out a Japanese made iaito! And you get a free purple/white swordbag included in the price.
Yay for unmentioned included free stuff!
